Lochinvare (Norton Garage Bungalow)

In 1958 John Clive and Norah Elsie Rowlands are listed on the electoral roll at Norton Garage but by 1960 their address had become Norton Garage Bungalow.  This may indicate when the bungalow was built.

[Undated but likely the 1950s]

The Rowlands were still in residence in 1985, when it had become known as Lochinvare, and they were likely here for some years after.  John died in July 2013 and Norah in October 2016 and were both buried at St Mary’s, Norton.

In 2002 Lochinvare was empty and being used as an office for the garage that was rebuilt in this year for Denwells Transport Co Ltd.

[2002]

In approximately 2020 Lochinvare was demolished and replaced with a new house as a set of three fronting where Norton Garage once stood.

[2025]

Lochinvare would have stood where the house to the left of the three now stands; Tulips, Poppies and Buttercups from left to right.
