Eastholm

In 1938-39 Albert Edward and Kathleen Marjorie Fredericks were here and were probably the original residents.  Albert had married Kathleen Pockett at Hardwicke, Gloucester, in 1935 and their daughter Susan Jane was born here in 1944.  Albert was a dock labourer and also an ARP with the Docks Company during the Second World War.

In 1947-48 Arthur John and Edith May Sims were in residence.

In 1947-55 Albert W and Iris E Bye were here.

In 1958 the Fredericks were back and were still here in 1966 and probably later.  In 1966 daughter Susan was also in residence.

In 1985 Desmond and Freda Bufton were in residence.  Desmond William Charles was born in 1928 at Leominster, Hereford, married Freda Rosemary Gaskins in 1952 at St Nicholas, Ashchurch, and had one child; daughter Shelley.  They were still here when Desmond died in 2005 and he has a memorial at St Mary’s, Norton.
